Guinness World Record

A new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD was recently set on June 23, 2006 at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida.  Steve Hamilton, a.k.a. CHRIS CAKES, manually poured, cooked and flipped an amazing 555 pancakes in just 60 minutes.  He "flattened" the existing record of 414, set back in 1998.  He actually made over 600 pancakes from scratch, but only the certified edible ones (not burned, fully cooked and those not hitting the ground) measuring at least 5 inches in diameter and no more than 3/8 inch thick were officially counted by the GUINNESS Judges.

Although the event was taped before a live studio audience, the actual contest between Steve Hamilton and Mike Cuzzacrea, a.k.a THE PANCAKE MAN, will premiere on the FOOD NETWORK CHALLENGE "Fastest Foods" TV Show from Oct 9th thru 14th, 2006.  Please tune in then to see "THE REAL CHRIS CAKES" in action!
